PROGRAM NOTES by the composer:
"Keeping Faythe" was written for my good friend, harpsichordist Faythe Vollrath, and was premiered by her at the Festival of New American Music in California.  It is a theme and variations of sorts on a favorite Lutheran hymn of the Faythe's, thus the title of the piece is both a nod towards her name and the derivation of the original material.
