PROGRAM NOTES by the composer:
"Catch" is a companion piece to "Chase!", a violin/piano duo I wrote for my friend, violinist Chase Spruill.  After the opening lullaby-like melody, the return of the "C-H-A-S-E" theme is heard with the notes: C-B-A-Eb-E, a literal spelling of his name in musical notation (if one is to use the German school of spelling).
